The Dive Crew Forms Partnership with Rockwall YMCA to Offer SCUBA Programs for the Rowlett and Rockwall Communities
The Dive Crew is excited to offer SCUBA programs to the residents of the Rowlett and Rockwall
communities through an exclusive partnership with the Rockwall YMCA. Information on special
programs will be available to YMCA members this spring.
Rowlett, Texas, January 1, 2011 – The Dive Crew and Rockwall YMCA are excited to offer new programs
for area YMCA members. This spring members can experience the aquatic world through PADI scuba
classes offered at the Rockwall YMCA.
Recognized worldwide, the PADI (http://www.padi.com) Open Water Diver certification is the world’s
most popular scuba course, and has introduced millions to the adventure and thrill of scuba diving.
Through this new partnership, this training program will soon be available at the Rockwall YMCA.
Scuba diving is quickly becoming a popular family sport for those who like the blue seas and splendors
of the underwater world. Moreover, diving offers several health benefits, including strength building,
improved cardiovascular performance, and the reduction of stress, making this new partnership with
the YMCA a great fit to dive into.
“The Rockwall YMCA is excited about our new partnership with The Dive Crew and we are looking
forward to offering the experience of scuba to our members,” says Mike Atkins, Executive Director of
the Rockwall YMCA. “Scuba is a great family activity and we hope to help make it available to a large

In addition to entry level scuba classes, The Dive Crew will offer a range of scuba and awareness courses,
including: Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Divemaster and Project AWARE. Details on these
exciting new programs will be made available to Rockwall YMCA members this spring.
